Scott is the pastor of First Baptist Church. Prior to living in Tahoe, Scott and his wife Jenn served as resort ministers in Girdwood, Alaska. Scott also served seven years as the chaplain for the Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
He earned a BA in Anthropology from the University of Memphis and later a Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.
Scott also works as a children’s ski instructor at Squaw Valley. In his spare time, Scott enjoys skiing, hiking, and kayaking.

Jenn serves as Church Administrator and Community Outreach Coordinator. Jenn earned a BS in Religion and Philosophy from College of the Ozarks. She and Scott have served in resort ministry for over 16 years. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and camping.

Debbie is a Resort Missionary with Tahoe Resort Ministries. Debbie came to Tahoe in 1979. Debbie directs the Big A Club, Parents’ Night Out, and ski ministry at seven different ski areas. She tutors at the A+ Before and After School Ministry, recruits college students and adult volunteer groups, coordinates the Empties 4 Cash program, helps with My Morning Out, and has done outreach ministry at ten Olympic games. Debbie is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

Crystal serves as our A+ Program Director. Crystal administrates all areas of our A+ preschool and school age programs. This includes maintaining our licensure with the State of California and Placer County, as well as planning and scheduling our program’s daily activities. She also provides training and supervision for all of our A+ staff.
Crystal graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a dual degree in Mass Communications/Journalism and Spanish. She previously worked for her alma mater as the Senior Writer and Editor of the university’s alumni publications. Prior to that she was the Communications Director for the Praevius Group, a military company out of central Texas. Crystal is passionate about communication, and believes it is a critical part of ministry and community development.
In the fall of 2010, Crystal served as a missionary with FBCTC and immediately fell in love with the people and the culture of Tahoe City. After working six years in the corporate world, Crystal and her husband (David) moved to Tahoe in 2015 to work with FBCTC in the children’s programs. Crystal is Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certified and has a certificate in Preventative Health Practices.
In her free time, Crystal loves cleaning house, taking her dog for a walk, hiking, and most importantly, taking care of her son.

Teri serves as the A+ School Age Supervisor and FBCTC Kid’s Club Coordinator. Teri graduated from Longwood University with a degree in Social Work. She discovered her passion for social work while interning at Empowerhouse, an organization that works with survivors of domestic violence. It was there that Teri completed 40 hours of training in domestic violence and worked with clients in high-risk situations.
Teri has a long history of working with children. In 2014, she spent time interning with a Behavioral Counselor at a school. Teri quickly discovered she had a heart for working with children who struggle with behavioral disorders.
Teri first started at A+ in January 2015 as a missionary in the school age program. She quickly fell in love with the Tahoe community and built a reputation as a fun, kind-hearted, and caring teacher. In August 2016, Teri served as the transportation coordinator, and in April 2017, she stepped into the role of School Age Supervisor.
In her free time, Teri enjoys hiking, playing board games, reading, and watching movies.

Elizabeth serves as the A+ Preschool Supervisor and FBCTC Music Minister. Elizabeth attended Louisiana Tech University, where she received a degree in Family and Child Studies. She came to Tahoe to serve as a semester missionary in January 2015 and quickly came to love the children and the community here. Elizabeth joined our full-time staff in June 2016. She is Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certified and has a certificate in Preventative Health Practices. With an interest in helping serve children in stressful times, Elizabeth completed a practicum at the Children’s Hospital at University Health in Shreveport, LA, working with a Child Life Specialist. Prior to working at FBCTC, Elizabeth also worked for FBC Ruston, LA for one summer and FBC Winsboro, LA one summer organizing and running children’s programs with games and events. It’s easy to see that Elizabeth has a passion for helping children develop academically, socially, and spiritually.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys being outdoors, trying new things and spending time with her friends and family.

David serves as our youth pastor. He graduated from the University of Texas A&M with a degree in Recreation Park & Tourism Sciences. David spent 10 years working in the camping world before picking up and moving his family to Tahoe City. During the winter, David works at Squaw Valley as a kid’s ski instructor.
In his free time, David loves to be outside! He enjoys hiking, cycling, running, and kayaking.

Maureen (AKA, “Mrs Mo”) has been the Heart and Soul of A Plus for years. She will continue to provide loving care for school age children in our after school program. Mrs Mo also keeps our craft supplies organized, writes material for our August program, and coordinates our audio/visual on Sunday mornings. In addition, she maintains a list of contact information of former missionaries. She tells school age students and and adults alike: “Once you are my kid, you are mine forever”.
Summer and Semester Missionaries
Every four months we invite college students or recent college graduates to Tahoe to teach in our A+ Children’s Programs. Many of these teachers are completing their Early Childhood Education degrees and use this experience to fulfill their internship requirements. Our teachers bring invaluable experience and energy to our community!
