In Person Church Services

Visiting a new church can be intimidating. We get it! Our church is a simple, “what you see is what you get” kind of church.  No matter if you are a local, second home owner, or just visiting, we are a church for you! We are a welcoming and affirming congregation that that encourages everyone to live as Jesus would have us live – to live a life of love!

In our worship services, we value eclectic music. We blend new songs with old. On any given Sunday, you’ll see a variety of instruments. Our pastor typically preaches through a book of the Bible focusing on practical application and service. Our focus is on loving God with everything we’ve got and loving our neighbor as ourselves. We try to keep things pretty simple. We are a Baptist church, but we welcome friends from all denominations as well as those simply seeking God.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is your service?

Our in-person outdoor church service is held on Sunday mornings at 10am. Since we are outside, please remember to bring a light jacket, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Where is your church located?

We are located at 390 Fairway Drive in Tahoe City California. If our parking lot is full when you arrive, street side parking is available.

Is your space disinfected?

Yes! Each Sunday we perform a thorough disinfecting of the church before and after the service.

What should I expect when I arrive?

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by volunteers who will take your temperature and ask a couple of non-invasive screening questions.

Do I have to wear a mask?

Like most places these days, we ask that you wear a face mask. If you don’t have a face mask, we will gladly provide one for you.

How do you ensure social distancing?

We have a variety of seating options available. We are still using the wooden benches in the amphitheater but we’ve marked them with an “x” six feet apart. Obviously if you are a family group you can sit closer. We are also using the upper and lower grassy fields. We’ve painted a series of circles each six feet apart. Bring your own lawn chair or you can use one of ours and find a circle that fits your family’s needs.

Do you provide any children's services?

We encourage you to bring the whole family. Children are an important part of our church. We think it’s great if they sing and dance and make lots of noise during the service. We also provide a coloring sheet in the bulletin and make crayons available at the welcome table.

Do you provide a livestream of the service?

If with all of these precautions, you still don’t feel comfortable coming in person but want to join us in worship, we will be live streaming the service at 10am on our church’s Facebook page.

Do you have any alternative service times?

Yes…and no…
As soon as Placer County is removed from the state’s COVID watchlist and we are allowed to have indoor services, we will restart our Saturday evening 6pm service.
